Why subscribe?

I’ve been touring, recording and writing music for most of my life. I’m currently a member of the bands Deerhoof, Gorge Trio and The Ghost Ease and have been a member of Colossamite, Iceburn, xbxrx, Sicbay, Burmese and The Flying Luttenbachers

I’ve been active in the underground/experimental/punk/noise -whatever you want to call it - music scene for over 30 years. From the beginning, I found my chosen family in the “misfits” and “outsiders”. I was always the most drawn to the new and confusing, the intense and the beautiful. My pull was never fame or money but connecting to the magic of creation and the community that felt the same way. My focus has been to discover what is unique about myself and to embrace and nurture that.

I’ll be sharing everything that has helped me on my journey towards discovering and connecting to my true, creative self. My hope is that you may find something here that helps you look at yourself and your art from a different perspective, and that this information will help you on your own path.

I’ve been incredibly fortunate that other people have connected to what I’ve been doing along the way. This has given me real world reminders that have helped me see how meaningful creating can be, and how much we can support each other to find value in ourselves and in our art, inspiring us to keep moving forward.
